At Rushing Chapel Pentecostal Church, we are a Spirit-filled, Apostolic congregation built on the unshakable foundation of God’s Word and empowered by the Holy Ghost. Our church takes its name and spiritual identity from Acts 2:2, where “suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind.” That same mighty wind of Pentecost is still blowing today, reviving hearts, restoring families, and reaching the lost.

We are not just a building—we are a movement of believers passionately pursuing God’s presence and purpose. With deep reverence for the past and bold vision for the future, we are committed to building a thriving, Spirit-led church that honors Jesus Christ in word, worship, and witness.

Our Mission and Vision

Our mission is to create an atmosphere where lives are transformed by the power of God. We exist to:

  • Proclaim the Apostolic message of repentance, water baptism in Jesus’ name, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues (Acts 2:38)
  • Pursue the presence of God through passionate worship, heartfelt prayer, and Spirit-anointed preaching
  • Provide a refuge of healing and hope for individuals and families from every walk of life
  • Prepare disciples to grow in faith and walk in their God-given purpose through biblical teaching and mentorship
  • Partner with each other and with our community to advance the Kingdom of God through love, outreach, and service

We are a multigenerational church with a focus on building strong families, raising up the next generation, and impacting our region with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

What We Believe

We are firmly rooted in the Apostolic Doctrine, teaching and practicing the full plan of salvation as outlined in the book of Acts:

  • Repentance – A heartfelt turning away from sin (Luke 13:3; Acts 2:38)
  • Water Baptism – In the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38; Acts 10:48)
  • Baptism of the Holy Ghost – With the evidence of speaking in other tongues (Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44–46)

We believe in the oneness of God—that Jesus Christ is the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Colossians 2:9), and that salvation is only through His name (Acts 4:12).

We uphold a lifestyle of holiness, modesty, and godly conduct, believing that our outward life should reflect the inward work of the Spirit. As Scripture says, “Be ye holy; for I am holy” (1 Peter 1:16).

Our Culture

At Rushing Chapel, you’ll find a warm, family-centered environment where everyone is welcome and every generation is valued. We are a church that loves deeply, worships freely, and believes fervently in the power of prayer and the presence of God.

  • Sunday services feature vibrant worship, heartfelt altar calls, and anointed preaching
  • Midweek Bible studies offer spiritual growth and practical application
  • Youth and children’s ministries provide fun, faith-filled experiences for the next generation
  • Outreach and fellowship events build relationships within the church and reach beyond our walls into the community

We believe that church is more than a weekly event—it’s a daily journey of growing closer to God and walking in His purpose.
